Job Description
Amazon World Wide Grocery Store Tech is seeking an experienced and proven Sr. Software Development Engineer (SDE) to lead large crossfunctional strategic initiatives that support WWGST strategic goals. This is a unique opportunity for someone inspired by WWGST core values and is interested in Amazons highgrowth grocery business to bring their whole self to the role.
Key job responsibilities
As an Sr. SDE you are responsible for setting a high bar throughout the software development and deployment lifecycle including design development documentation testing and operations.
The ideal candidate will have a superior background in software and application development simplifying complex architectures reduce duplicate systems AWS technologies business judgment curiosity and superior written and verbal communication skills. They will work closely with the business and technical teams to analyze and unique business problems and use creative problem solving to deliver results.
He/she will be a selfstarter comfortable with ambiguity able to think big and be creative while paying careful attention to detail and will enjoy working in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
6 years of noninternship professional software development experience
6 years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
6 years of leading design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience as a mentor tech lead or leading an engineering team
6 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Masters degree in computer science or equivalent
