We are currently looking for a driver to join our Short Breaks team at Surrey Choices to provide a transport service for staff from Banstead to our new purposebuilt site in Woking from April 2025. We are currently working in partnership with Surrey County Council to deliver on their vision for quality Short Breaks for people with Learning Disabilities and Complex Needs through the development of two state of the art purpose built overnight services.
The role would suit applicants with previous experience within passenger services or an interest in driving. It will require you to cover driving responsibilities over the weekend and provide some oncall cover for midweek shifts if required.
Key responsibilities will include:
Provision of a transport services to the staff from Banstead to Woking.
Driving a company vehicle ensuring all staff are transported safely and in line with all policies and procedures.
Ensuring passenger safety including helping passengers on and off the vehicle when required.
Performing regular vehicle checks in line with procedures and reporting any concerns or issue to the Community Transport Manager.
Reporting any safeguarding concerns or issues to the Community Transport Manager.
Ensuring the vehicle is kept clean and tidy
