Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a Medical Assistant to support to join our Womens Health department (Obstetrics and Gynecology) at the Dumfries Ambulatory Care Center in Dumfries VA. The Medical Assistant must have experience working directly within womens health (Obstetrics and Gynecology).
Anticipated schedule: MondayFridayor
Position Overview:
This position provides medical assistant services in support of patient care and treatment.
Responsibilities:
- Experienced with biopsies polyp removals and related procedures REQUIRED
- Taking a patients history and personal information upon arrival of appointment
- Responsible for tracking of some reports
- Checking patient vitals and provide assistance to physician in office with dermatological procedures
- Screens walkin patients for eligibility for treatment.
- Handle light administrative duties; schedule appointments of patients.
- Handle/triage patient to staff questions.
- Maintains and stock forms and inventory needed at front desk.
- Performs various other clerical tasks to assist clinical staff members

Requirements:
- Required: Graduated from an Accredited Medical Assistant program
- Required: 2years of experience as a medical assistant.
- At least 3 months experience working in a womens health center or Ob/Gyn clinical setting (resume must reflect solid relevant experience)
- Active BLS certification required from American Heart Association
- *Must be a U.S. citizen
- Updated immunizations with proof
