At Amazon we are building a world class last mile operation with Delivery Technology as a cornerstone of this strategy. We work directly with various transporter types (drivers walkers bikers etc. to make deliveries to our customers. and enable innovation for various business lines (SubSame Day Whole Foods Market and Amazon Logistics). We power these experiences through a mix of hardware and software (a mobile app that works in sync with our advanced systems and processes) enabling transporters to execute tasks for Amazon to delight customers.
To be successful in this role the Sr. Product Manager Technical needs to demonstrate a unique combination of strategic technical and operational acumen in building to launch products that introduce technology and processes for elevating and innovating on the experience transporters have when delivering packages and executing other tasks for Amazon. You have experience defining the strategic vision for major features of a product or service establishing a roadmap and have a track record of successfully partnering with business teams to understand insights and driving engineering/operations/BI teams to deliver on that vision. You are able to influence multiple stakeholders on technical priorities and business strategy through datadriven proposals and communicate ideas effectively both verbally and in writing to all types of audiences including senior leadership. The PMT must also have excellent judgement in prioritizing and creating the right tenets for the right tradeoffs to maximize business impact. A successful candidate will be highly analytical resourceful customerobsessed and team oriented. The candidate will have a proven record in taking on endtoend ownership diving deep and successfully delivering results in a fastpaced and dynamic business environment. Key job responsibilities
This role will help define our next set of transporter facing products focused on providing evolutionary and revolutionary concepts for their arrival at delivery stations package pickup and packagetovehicle loading workflows. This will focus on the transporters start of work and end of work experiences across multiple business types (sameday grocery speciality deliveries pickups).
Our mission is to ensure every package is delivered at the right time at the right location in the right way according to the customers preference. Our transporters deliver in many different use cases ranging from singlefamily home apartment units behind a locked gate college campus to countryside residences worldwide. This role ensures that the transporters day/work shift starts off in the best possible way that is smooth and intuitive thereby setting them up for success when they go on the road. To succeed it will be done through identifying new methods and technology (software and hardware) of helping them be more efficient productive and successful in each step of their start of work/day tasks and easy end of work/day tasks. This in turn helps Amazon achieve promise to the customers.
This role is inherently crossfunctionalthis leader will work closely with engineering program management design operations finance legal business development customer service and executive teams to bring products to market develop and grow business opportunities and enhance our existing products and features. A successful candidate will be highly analytical resourceful customerfocused team oriented and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. The leader will have a proven track record in taking on endtoend ownership and successfully delivering results in a fastpaced and dynamic business environment. You will need to work efficiently to build the right things with limited guidance raising the bar to create an amazing experience for our transporters.
Playing a key role in the Transporter Experience team as a Product Manager you will be responsible for the product definition and feature roadmap for multiple projects . You will work closely with multiple stakeholder/business teams your engineering and UX/UI counterparts to identify business requirements measuring and sharing progress against goals and championing adoption with our customers through infield research and testing. You will bring your experience of defining and releasing similar successful products at scale preferably in consumer or industrial verticals.
5 years of team management experience
Bachelors degree
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated experience engaging and influencing senior executives.
Experience in software development
MBA
Proven track record of delivering projects with global teams within scope time budget and quality
