Join Lancashire County Council as an Environmental Planning Officer
Shape the future of transport in Lancashire by becoming a crucial part of our multidisciplinary team working on major transport planning applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) for planning applications.
- Produce supporting documents for Environmental Statements and Habitat Regulations Assessments.
- Provide environmental advice on planning applications and discharge of planning conditions.
- Review documentation from specialists to make informed recommendations
What were looking for:
- Youll have experience of working within a planning team it would be great if you also understand the principles of EIA coordination and environmental planning policies. It would be hugely beneficial if you also held a degree in planning or an environmental field.
- You be confident using specialised systems and GIS mapping software
- Youll have excellent communication skills. Youll be able to explain technical issues to nontechnical stakeholders and use your expertise to influence decision making
