Job Description

Summary


The Yard worker is responsible for performing manual duties within the company yard. Duties include load assembly/disassembly and yard organization. The position requires accountability dependability and initiative.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Perform duties locally in company yard including load assembly and disassembly.
  • Disassemble loads and assemble load cargo to prepare for shipment process.
  • Organize yard machinery load equipment and load cargo within company yard.
  • Install tires on equipment for shipment.
  • Keep the yard(s) building(s) and equipment neat clean and organized.
  • Prepare and check paperwork regarding load requirements and details as needed.
  • Assist other departments in movement of deliveries within company yard and office.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Forklift experience is an asset
  • Must have experience working in an outdoor environment for approximately 90 of the time
  • Class 5 license and reliable transportation required
  • Experience in manual labor capacity preferred
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Proven accountability and dependability
  • Strong work ethic and personal integrity
  • Ability to work in a team setting and individually with little supervision
  • Ability to perform repetitive duties
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
