Job Description

The Alexa Experiences & Services team is looking for a Senior User Experience Designer to work on Personality Experiences as well as other exciting Alexa projects. The Alexa Personality designer will support the Alexa Experiences and Services team to enhance the customers experience by anticipating their needs or current context and meet those needs with information suggestions and/or actions in the most appropriate interaction modalities and CX across multiple product surfaces.
This Senior UX Designer will work on innovative Alexa features and revise existing features. You will create elegant intuitive user interfaces that meet unique customer needs. You will work closely with other designers researchers product management engineering data science and operational teams to successfully go from early stage product concepts to iterations and launches of new features.
Key job responsibilities
You will be hands on have a strong understanding of visual systems and best practices including layout color palette typography iconography and illustrations. You are at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract building consensus and then driving that vision into concise design deliverables. As a tastemaker and visual storyteller you will advocate for design excellence and help create meaningful emotional connection between customers and our products.
A day in the life
Each day you will connect and collaborate with designers and researchers across the Alexa team. Youll work directly with product managers to understand requirements and develop design concepts that will be reviewed with leadership. Youll also work with software teams to deliver detailed visual and interaction specifications. While the environment will be fastpaced youll always be embedded in a supportive community of team members who are ready to provide feedback and support. Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
