Job Description

Description
As a Test Technician you will be responsible for carrying out Gas Chromatograph hardware application set up and test work for customer orders and application development projects. You will also provide field support for customers and Emerson Service Engineers as required. This role requires an individual who is diligent and has excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate issues and observations to the Production teams.

In this Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Debug of hardware issues as necessary
  • Completion of order documentation
  • Preparation of test data for technical reports
  • Prepare GCs for customers and conduct FATs and for ISO10723 performance evaluations
  • Test gas management
  • Laboratory support duties
  • Field support duties as required including commissioning of GCs at customer sites debug and resolution of customer issues remote / onsite.
Who You Are:

Customer focus driven with the capability to efficiently and accurately handle complexed tasks. You will adjust communication content and style to meet the needs of our diverse collaborators. Familiarity with working under deadlines and in a target driven environment. You model as self motivated with a positive can do demeanour reliable and are comfortable working in a changing environment.

For This Role You Will Need:
  • IT skills especially office 365 or equivalent
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Problem solving techniques
  • Customer Experience
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • HNC/HND or equivalent experience in science or technical subject with practical laboratory experience and/or Experience of analytical instrumentation preferred but not essential
