ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform chemical testing of raw materials inprocess and final products.
- Perform pH wet chemistry titrations brix moisture analysis density specific gravity testing or other analytical tests when needed.
- Set up calibrate maintain and operate basic lab equipment such as Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) spectrophotometer refractometer and pH meters.
- Perform product analysis based on product needs: API analysis excipients matrixes supplements colors blends flavors etc.
- Assist in the maintenance review and updates of work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Assist technologists and lab assistants with inprocesscontrol sampling and hold program.
- Support other laboratory functions such.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including R&D production and regulatory affairs.
- Participate in outofspecification (OOS) investigations and root cause analysis.
- Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practice regulations as well as all relevant work instructions and SOPs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in science or commensurate combination of education internships and work experience.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word.
- Strong technical writing skills and the ability to create technical documentation.
- Ability to interpret and apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations.
- Strong analytical decisionmaking technical organizational planning and written communication skills.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in chemistry or related field.
- Certified training using relevant instruments or techniques.
- Previous experience with laboratory information management or laboratory systems (LIMS/LES).
