Job Description

A globally recognized leader in highreliability electronic systems supporting aerospace defense commercial aviation and space applications is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to join its growing team. With a longstanding reputation for innovation this company is known for designing cuttingedge technology with bestinclass SWaP (Size Weight and Power) advantages and delivering highly reliable solutions for missioncritical applications.

The Opportunity:

As a Business Development Manager youll lead strategic business capture initiatives across multiple business units. This individual contributor role reports directly to senior leadership and works crossfunctionally with sales engineering and technical teams to drive growth and customer engagement. Youll be key in shaping gotomarket strategies and developing relationships with major OEM and defense customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy & Capture:

  • Develop and execute winning business strategies.

  • Leverage competitive intelligence and market research.

  • Provide pricing strategy input and customer feedback to sales and engineering teams

Sales :

  • Lead customer visits and discovery efforts.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align customer needs with technical capabilities.

  • Guide opportunities through bid/nobid processes and teaming decisions

  • Own pipeline generation relationshipbuilding and capture management

Forecasting & Growth:

  • Track the entire lifecycle of dealsfrom lead generation through negotiation and order close

  • Build forecasts and provide strategic updates to internal business unit leaders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required; MBA a plus

  • 510 years of sales or BD experience in aerospace defense or related electronics industries

  • Demonstrated success exceeding revenue goals and developing customer relationships

  • Familiarity with MILSTD1553 ARINC 429 or similar systems is beneficial

  • Strong financial acumen and strategic planning skills

  • Comfortable with up to 60 travel in a hybrid field/officebased role
