Job Description

International Government Sales

As International Government Sales your job description is very broad challenging and varying. You search for new international opportunities mainly for governments but also for mining companies and convince them to provide decentralised drinking water purification units to their communities. Together with the CEO and the management team you set up the international sales strategy and with the help of the marketing department you continuously improve the sales material to boost lead generation.

In your role as International Government Sales you:

  • Improve and further develop the sales strategy.

  • Scout the market for new sales opportunities and you build longterm relationships with partners customers and prospects.

  • Complete proposals write up sales orders prepare sales documents and negotiate contract terms.

  • Your potential customers are located within the international B2G (business to governments) segment mainly very high level.

  • Provide postsales support: you discuss and troubleshoot any problem with a purchased product arrange minor adjustments or repairs and log issues to be discussed with the production team.

  • Participate in events and lobbying activities where you promote our solutions and learn about international trends in the water sector.

Skills

The perfect International Government Sales:

  • Has a technical background: preferably as an engineer.

  • Is a business developer: loves to find and attract new customers.

  • Is a hunter more than a farmer.

  • Has strong communication skills in Dutch and English: from demonstrating products to preparing sales reports.

  • Is organised & structured in his/her work and understands the need for thorough reporting.

  • Has strong diplomatic skills and the right level of maturity to perform sales conversations with international business & government leaders.

  • Understands the value of a strong network and can actively build one.

  • Is interested in geopolitics and understands the different worldviews within different countries.

  • Has the patience to handle long sales processes investing heavily in longterm relationshipbuilding.

Attitudes

  • Enthusiastic and very persistent but knows how to make the customer feel comfortable.

  • Confident and commercial: not afraid of cold calling to attract new potential customers.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English. Proficiency in French Spanish and/or any other widely spoken language is an asset.

  • Teamwork is important to you.

  • Persistent and solutiondriven.

  • Willing to travel intensively 2535.

  • Applicant must have a valid work permit/ permission to work in Belgium.

  • Relocation not provided.
