This APP role is supporting the Department of Endocrinology and all Endocrine subspecialties.
Consults and followup visits are seen. The role also supports the Endocrinology Service in MCF Hospital seeing all types of Endocrine subspecialties. The APPs also assist the Department in responding to patient messages/requests through their patient portal.
Clinic hours are normally MonFri 85; whereas hospital is MonSun 85 or 96 with call evenings weekends and holidays.
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant performs the following tasks in any authorized setting (clinics hospitals ambulatory surgery centers nursing homes or patients home).
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Mayo Clinic also may perform the following tasks in any authorized setting:

Nurse Practitioner:Mastersprepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current FL RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP or ANP.
Physician Assistant:Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the FL State Board of Medical Practice.
Additional Qualifications:
Active BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross at start date and DEA registration required.
