The Director Business Development Manager role sits within the Global Transaction Services (GTS) business which is a key pillar of Westpacs Institutional Bank.The team manages the financial needs of corporate institutional and government clients.
For the successful candidate this role will provide a unique business development opportunity. The role is responsible for the pursuit of new to bank customers and the sale of a range of transactional banking cash management and payment technology solutions to our Corporate and Institutional Banking clients.
You will be responsible for developing winning client acquisition strategies and work crossfunctionally with internal stakeholders. You will use your technical expertise and deep understanding of our clients strategic objectives to identify the right transaction banking solutions to meet their needs. You will own the entire sales lifecycle (including prospecting qualifying progressing opportunities and deal and play a lead role in driving revenue growth.
Furthermore and in collaboration with our Pursuits Management team you will create and project manage proactive pitches and respond to tenders by providing a range of transactional banking solutions that align with the clients requirements.

What do I need
Transaction Banking experience with the ability to build a pipeline is a must.
With a minimum of 5 years sales experience you are an experienced Business Development Manager or Senior Client Manager within Corporate or Institutional banking. With a focus on bringing new customers to Westpac you have an established professional network from which to work. You are highly tenacious selfmotivated and take a proactive approach towards business development activity.
You possess strong verbal and written communication skills are wellorganised with excellent time management skills.
Being highly driven you have a strong track record of identifying opportunities in the market building a pipeline and progressing opportunities through to . Taking a consultative style you seek to understand the strategy and core objectives of your client and identify opportunities for transaction banking services to help them achieve these objectives. You are persistent in the face of adversity and can use your influencing skills to obtain positive outcomes.
