As a Practice Leader you will:
- Function as the practice builder leading the development of Perkins&Wills regional K12 practice reinforcing our position as a recognized leader in programming planning and design of K12 facilities
- Organize and lead marketing efforts for the practice sector
- Active participation in professional organizations such as TASA and A4LE
- Proactively coordinate the K12 efforts with our other Perkins and Will studios
- Serve as the person accountable for all time/scope/dollar issues as well as for overall client satisfaction and profitability of K12 projects
- Provide a competitive advantage and elevate the firms marketing success based upon the successful candidates reputation portfolio contacts and relationships within the K12 community
- Enhance the firms ability to attract talent through mentoring developing and training staff in collaboration with other staff
- Make go/no go decisions on proposals; formulate project teams coordinate proposals and interviews
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 15 years of professional experience to include leadership of a group and accountability for overall profit and loss of said group
- Bachelors in architecture; Registered architect preferred
- A collaborative consensus and processoriented approach to architecture
- Good team player who shares opportunities and understands own limitations; proven track record of placing team goals above own
- Established client relationships which would facilitate the transference of these relationships to Perkins and Will
- A portfolio of completed relevant projects attributable directly to the candidate Projects should be relevant to the strategic goals and objectives of Perkins and Will and the K12 practice
- Proven and verifiable experience in identifying leads building a network and producing quality projects
- Strong written and verbal skills; articulate and a convincing presenter
- Experience writing articles on topics relevant to K12 is plus as well as experience speaking before national conferences or organizations
