Planning and allocating resources (machine and labor process centers) across multiple manufacturing sites to maximize output machine utilization and efficiency. The role is responsible for creating an endtoend supply plan each month for the medium to long term horizon and manages key risks and opportunities associated with demand variation capacity constraints and material constraints. Supporting the S&OP Process and LongRange Planning process as the SME (Subject Matter Expert) for her/his product portfolio.
The Senior Strategic Planning Manager is in charge of a corporate network planner team who works with the production sites on RCCP and create MPS directing productions to maximize machine and resources utilization. She/He influences and bring expertise to build a consensus mid to long range plan to direct the efficient utilization of machines and labor across the collagen manufacturing sites. Building Rough Cut Capacity Plans (RCCP) at both the discreet machine level and at the network level to support decisions lead the S&OP Process as well as the LRP Process. Primary Responsibilities
The individual in this position will have the following responsibilities:
Analyst
Acquire medium or longterm demand forecasts for all FG inventoryconsuming events and translate those forecasts into a network supply plan by collaborating with crossfunctional partners to ensure the network supply plan is managed according to constraints and targets that align with the business strategy.
Translate FG requirements into an RCCP that considers current and future manufacturing constraints and seeks to maximize manufacturing efficiency while minimizing working capital costs. This should be a result of strong understanding of line/site capacities planned down times and demonstrated performance of the different assets.
Work with manufacturing sites to identify and manage strategies that ensure effective and efficient usage of raw and WIP inventories to minimize excess and obsolete while maximizing On Time In Full (OTIF).
For contract manufacturing create an FG net requirement and purchasing plan based on timing and location (RCCP not required).
Review and maintain critical network planning parameters such as ABC classification and safety stock settings replenishment quantity and product life cycle management taking into account constraints and input such as lead time and order cycle time.
Using scenario planning and risk/opportunity management monitor and track customer service levels and leverage production and inventory to ensure uninterrupted delivery to customers while minimizing working capital costs.
Use basic load leveling to optimize the supply plan (production and inventory) within the midterm and longterm time horizons while accounting for decisions made within S&OP. This could involve driving decisions to balance across lines and / or across sites.
Support delivery of all network supply metrics. Identify potential risks and prepare scenarios to address and follow up on all supplyrelated issues to full resolution.
Represent Supply planning function in the S&OP of his/her portfolio and comment on supply plans.
Systems Expert
Use and maintain current planning systems to create an optimized network supply and capacity plan using established processes.
Oversee maintenance system related planning parameters to deliver an achievable network supply plan.
Familiarity with the standard network planning system features like scenario/whatif analysis.
