Job Description
This is a remote position.
Job Highlights:
Contract type: Independent Contractor
Schedule: 40 hours a week; Monday - Friday 9AM - 6PM EST with 1 hour unpaid break
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Analytics Manager who is ready to make a powerful impact! In this role you will lead critical data outputs and reconciliation as it relates to loan transactions and servicing. You will also help with automations as well as play a key part in building and refining processes as we scale at lightning speed. What You ll Do:
- Maintain data governance and best practices in performing reconciliation and report outputs including documentation validation and process controls.
- Work directly with the accounting team to build automated work papers and sub-ledger reports such as JE detail revenue deferrals accrual schedules.
- Oversee the development of reconciliation and outputs that support month-end close and audit readiness
- Ensure work papers being delivered to Controllership for review are accurate and complete including cross reconciliation to ensure datasets reconcile.
- Perform reconciliation daily to ensure there is alignment between report outputs and source data
- Contribute to automation efforts by flagging daily exercises that may still be manual or need areas of improvement.
- Ensure timely effective communication to management or project delays error reconciliation or data quality improvements.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of data experience with a focus on financial services. Fintech public accounting or startup experience is highly desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail ensuring accuracy and precision in all work and deliverables
- Proficiency in financial systems and advanced Excel skills with the ability to write clear and concise accounting documentation.
- A proactive self-starter who can work independently prioritise tasks effectively and deliver results in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work cross-functionally and contribute to a shared vision of excellence.
