Our Role in Universal Music Group

UMGB operates across UMGs global ecosystem collaborating with local music marketing and brand experts in over 40 markets worldwide. We work with a diverse roster of established and emerging artists to develop meaningful partnerships and create new generations of superfans.

The Opportunity Your Role as Director of Brand Partnerships

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in driving UMGBs business development strategy. As Director of Brand Partnerships you will focus on identifying and securing new brand collaborations developing compelling partnership opportunities and driving revenue growth through innovative music marketing solutions. You will lead pitch development manage relationships with key brand and agency stakeholders and collaborate with internal teams to bring creative ideas to life.

A Day in the Life at UMGB

In this dynamic role no two days are the same. Youll:

  • Identify and develop new brand and agency relationships to drive business growth.

  • Lead the development of strategic pitches and partnership proposals.

  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teamsincluding insights creative media buying legal and label partnershipsto craft innovative solutions for brand clients.

  • Present highimpact proposals to senior brand and agency executives demonstrating the power of music to elevate their marketing strategies.

  • Work closely with the VP Global Partnerships to shape UMGBs commercial strategy and revenue goals.

  • Analyse market trends and brand needs to identify untapped business opportunities.

  • Support internal teams in developing gotomarket strategies for new partnership opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities

Be Commercial

  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of brand partnership opportunities.

  • Develop strategic datadriven brand marketing proposals tailored to client objectives.

  • Identify new revenue opportunities within and beyond UMGs existing assets.

  • Present and pitch partnership concepts to seniorlevel brand and agency stakeholders.

Be Collaborative

  • Work crossfunctionally with creative strategy insights and media teams to develop bestinclass brand solutions.

  • Partner with UMG labels and artist teams to align brand opportunities with cultural trends and music initiatives.

  • Support the VP Global Partnerships in driving UMGBs business development strategy.

Be Organised

  • Track and report on business development activity ensuring regular updates to senior management.

  • Maintain CRM records and oversee key brand partnership processes.

Skills and Attributes

  • Proven experience in business development brand partnerships or commercial marketing.

  • Strong understanding of brand marketing media strategy and the role of music in culture.

  • Excellent presentation negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills.

  • Ability to develop highquality pitch decks using PowerPoint or Keynote.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fastpaced creative environment.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience in brand partnerships media sales marketing or agency roles.

  • A strong network of brand and agency contacts is highly desirable.

  • Knowledge of digital marketing content strategy and datadriven brand solutions.

  • Passion for music entertainment and cultural trends.
