Research & Evaluation Internship
College to County Internship 2025 Department of County Management
Pay Rate: $24 per hour
Job Type: Temporary College Intern
Duration: Summer 2025 Starting in June 12 weeks
Hours: 20 30 hours a week 360 hours total)
Telework: Routine telework eligible

What Does the Evaluation and Research Unit Do
The Evaluation and Research Unit (ERU) strives to lead Countywide research evaluation and data analysis efforts to inform decisionmaking. The ERU collaborates with diverse partners to ensure research and evaluation efforts are conducted ethically transparently and are responsive to employee needs.
Internship Description & Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize queries to extract data from a structured database to use for data visualization and analysis.
Collaborate with internal teams to configure data access and security settings.
Implement automated data refresh processes to maintain uptodate reporting.
Learning Outcomes:
Gain handson experience in SQL query development and data extraction.
Develop experience in data visualization tools including dashboard creation data analysis and automation features.
Enhance problemsolving skills by troubleshooting data connectivity automation and security permissions.
Minimum Qualifications and Education:
Candidates should have completed within one year or enrolled in a college/university academic institution.

Experience or coursework in data analysis data science business intelligence database management or a related field.
Familiarity with SQL Python or other data programming languages.
Familiarity with Power BI Tableau or other data visualization tools.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
