Job Description
Job Title: Histology Technologist MF Day Shift Call Rotation
Location: Just outside of Tampa FL area 30 Miles) and 1 Hour from Orlando FL

Job Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible to the Histology Team Leader/and Anatomic Pathology Supervisor and works in a selfdirected work team performing various procedures on tissue samples
- Works closely with the Pathologists and is responsible to practice within the scope of their duties and licensure in accordance with approved policies procedures and protocols
- Follows all safety practices and maintains competency with skills to ensure high quality testing services.
- Must identify opportunities for and contribute to the improvement of quality safety and cost as well as patient customer and employee satisfaction.
- Contributes to positive outcomes and meets the vision and cultural expectations of the organization by exhibiting professional behavior and laboratory expertise.
- Block count per day is around 500 for histology.
Requirements:
Education Highschool or equivalent. Associate degree. B.S Degree or equivalent in Histology with oneyear clinical internship from an approved training program
License/Certification Certification from an accredited Histotechnology training program. Must be eligible for OR have a Clinical Histology Technologist license in Florida
