Tenure Track Radiologic Technology Program Director
Salary: $
Classification: Tenure Track Faculty
Supervisor: Dean of Nursing & Allied Health

TheRadiologicTechnology ProgramFullTime Tenure Track Facultyis responsible for overseeingthecurriculum accreditation compliance and overall effectiveness of theRadiologicTechnology program. The primary purpose of this position is to ensure that students receive highquality education and training that meets industry standards leading to successful certification and employment in the field of radiologictechnology.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate the overall Radiologic Technology Program activities with the Dean of Health Sciences
  • Provide overall leadership and vision for the Radiologic Technology Program;
  • Administer and oversee the programs operations including curriculum development instructional methods scheduling and assessment;
  • Ensure compliance with JRCERT and CAHEEP standards and guidelines;
  • Mentor new faculty and provide feedback to the program evaluation process;
  • Coordinate with Dean faculty recruitment training and professional development;
  • Maintain the programs accreditation status with JRCERT and CAHEEP ensuring all documentation reports and updates are submitted in a timely and accurate manner;
  • Implement and evaluate program policies and procedures to ensure alignment with accreditation requirements;
  • Conduct selfassessments and prepare for external reviews and accreditation site visits;
  • Oversee and participate in local events related to student recruitment and any other activities related to radiologic technology program and community outreach;
  • Collaborate with faculty to develop review and revise the programs curriculum to support current industry standards and best practices;
  • Teach evening distance and branch campus courses when required;
  • Provide quality teaching including related preparation grading and record keeping;
  • Provide class syllabi to students enrolled in classes by the first day of classes and to the division office as requested;
  • Identify individual learning needs of students and make appropriate adjustments in learning environments and activities;
  • Provide student advising for career/academic pathways mentoring and support;
  • Contribute to the development of composition curriculum and student learning outcomes;
  • Contribute to the assessment of student learning and program outcomes annually;
  • Punctual communication with students faculty staff and administrators;
  • Maintain physical office hours for student consultation;
  • Attend faculty department and division meetings and serve on college committees;
  • Serve on appropriate college and community committees;
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Masters degree in Radiologic Technology or in a related field
Have documented education or experience in instructional methodology curriculum design and program planning;
Graduate of an education program in radiologic technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency;
Three years of work experience in radiologic technology;
One year experience as an instructor in a JRCERTaccredited program
Computer competency to include Microsoft Office Suites applications;
Current unencumbered Radiologic Technologist registered RT(R) and certificate or ability to obtain WA State license before employment

Desired Qualifications
Have experience with accreditation standards (JRCERT CAHEEP);
Experience with curriculum development and Canvas LMS;
Experience working in a community college.

Faculty members mustsubmitofficial unopened transcripts to the Human Resources department within30 daysof their employment.

This is a fulltime faculty position contracted on an annual basis.Placement on the faculty salary schedule will becommensuratewith educational background and experience. The salary will be prorated to reflect the actual contract daysremainingin the academic year. The salary listed is a range based on per month for the quarter. A collective bargaining agreement exists and this position is covered by the Association for Higher Education (AHE).Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the department.Evening and/or weekend classes instruction at satellite Olympic College campuses and offcampus assignments may be a part of the instructional load.
