The Department of Communication & Media Studies at Georgetown College invites applicants for a fulltime tenuretrack position in Media Studies to begin August 2025. The successful candidate will be qualified to teach courses in media (with an ability to explore the significance of new media and media literacy. Knowledge and experience in both practical media/content creation and the theoretical critical analysis of media is preferred). This position will oversee the minor in professional digital media as well as supervise the college radio station and approximately 15 student DJs. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate an ability to connect their specific media expertise with current course offerings. Applicants should also demonstrate a clear commitment to engagedstudent learning exemplified by a strong record of teaching and student mentorship. It is preferred that candidates have a Ph.D. or expect to receive the Ph.D. by August 1 2025. ABD candidates will be considered.
