The Opportunity:
Our Clients Commercial Litigation Department is seeking an associate to join the firms Emerging Data Privacy Trends practice in the Chicago office. Ideal candidates will have 34 years of law firm litigation experience defending employers and technology enterprises involved in major data privacy class actions and appellate cases in federal and state courts and in arbitration. Experience handling cases involving privacy statutes ransomware data breaches session replay/wiretapping pixel tracking and right of publicity is preferred. Candidates must have excellent academic credentials as well as demonstrated proficiency in written and oral advocacy skills. Illinois bar required.
The Emerging Data Privacy Trends practice has handled over 150 privacybased class actions including cases that implicate cutting edge technology and novel theories regarding the capture use protection and disclosure of personal data. The practice is known for anticipating litigation trends working closely with clients to anticipate the next waves of privacy litigation and proactively address them. The practice also handles individual and mass arbitration matters asserting privacy claims and has successfully compelled arbitration where strategically advisable to clients.
