TITLE:Director Firmware Engineering
Duties:Work with Technology team to provide Hyve Solutions firmware roadmap and development plan by learning and evaluating new firmware demands/technologies in the server/cloud market. The firmware includes BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) ROT (Root of Trust) and embedded firmware (eg. SAS expander microprocessor/ARM boot loaders etc.. Define annual KPI and SWOT analysis for the firmware team and lead the team for . Analyze available solutions/vendors to decide a bestfit option for the company firmware development needs. Work with team members for evaluating different solution options for functionality cost and risk developing the solution implementing it verifying it and supporting it in production. Drive processes strategies architectures or protocols to enhance firmware development efficiency and design quality. Collaborate with EE/ME/Thermal/SIT/TPM teams for providing solid solutions system/racklevel designs or debugging/ problem solving. Hybrid role permitting up to 30 work from home within a reasonable commuting distance of the Fremont CA office. This position requires up to 15 international travel.
SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
SALARY: $274206.00 $276000.00 per year

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field of study and ten 10 years experience as a Hardware Engineer Firmware Manager Firmware Technologist BIOS Engineer or related role where required experience gained.
SPECIAL SKILLS:Also requires experience in the following:
- Implementing security mechanism functions;
- Guiding development of automated testing;
- Optimizing design process flows and importing automated processes;
- BIOS (Basic Input/Output System); and
- Defining annual KPI and SWOT analysis.
