Job Description
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential repair and remodeling projects.
- Review project plans and specifications to determine scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information.
- Analyze labor material and overhead costs to produce accurate bids.
- Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in estimates.
- Utilize estimating software to streamline the bidding process and enhance accuracy.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction or home improvement industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods materials and costs.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- Professional demeanor and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
