Summary:
As the first quality engineer for GEICOs Payments Platform you will define and implement a quality strategy and architecture to enable engineers to deliver highquality software efficiently. This role involves building automation infrastructure testing frameworks and tools to streamline development and ensure quality across the entire stack.
Responsibilities:
Develop an endtoend quality strategy focused on shiftleft principles and compliance.
Build test automation infrastructure for Geicos payment platform.
Prioritize critical test coverage and ensure smooth migration from legacy systems.
Create tools and processes to provide engineering teams with actionable automation data and metrics.
Optimize development and testing workflows to enhance speed and reliability.
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in build systems testing frameworks and IDE integrations.
Qualifications:
12 years in test or software engineering preferably in fintech platforms.
Expertise in test automation frameworks (e.g. JUnit Cucumber Playwright) and scalable testing practices.
Proficient in at least two programming languages (e.g. Go Java Python JavaScript).
Strong experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS GCP or Azure) and distributed systems.
Skilled in software diagnostics validation and test automation framework design.
Experience with CI systems and tools to enhance application performance and reliability.
Proven leadership in improving engineering quality standards across distributed teams.
Track record of delivering largescale platform initiatives with effective collaboration and ownership.
Education:
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or equivalent experience.
Annual Salary
$115000.00 $260000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include but are not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the role the selected candidates work experience education and training the work location as well as market and business considerations.
