IT Business Systems Analyst Internship
College to County Intern 2025 DCA IT
Pay Rate: $24 per hour
Job Type: Temporary College Intern
Duration: Summer 2025 Starting in June 2025 for 12 weeks
Hours: 40 hours a week
Telework: Fully remote

What Does the IT/Health Department Portfolio Do
We are a team of senior business systems analysts who deliver the greatest possible value to our Health Department customers. We improve their experience of technology and deliver solutions that make it easier for them to do the very important work of serving our community.
Internship Description & Responsibilities:
Depending on duration of assignment:
Collaborate on collect organize and enhance Gemini Prompts (working with the Health Department and IT).
Partner with IT Sr. BSA on review of walking through approval process and/or implementation of an AI solution for the Health Department
Analyze current state systems and desired future state
Analyze business requirements and dependencies
Research AI tools for Healthcare and prepare presentations for the AI Steering Team
Develop the business case for IT review and approval
Learning Outcomes:
Enhance GenAI prompt building with an understanding of customer needs
Application of AI in healthcare
Project management and business analyst fundamentals
Software implementation in a healthcare environment
Change management
Government IT standards and practices
Education and Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates should have completed or enrolled in a college/university academic institution
Familiarity with GenAI prompts
Familiarity with Google solutions is helpful
No previous IT or AI experience required
Bring your curiosity and a desire to learn healthcare IT and AI
