Job/Practice Description: Family Medicine Residency Program Director

• MondayFriday 8 hour shifts
• Program development:Create the program including setting goals and objectives.Provide leadership vision and strategic direction for the Family Medicine Residency Program.
• Ensure compliance with ACGME and institutional accreditation standards and requirements.
• Develop and implement a curriculum that supports resident education and aligns with best practices in family medicine.
• Recruit develop and mentor faculty members ensuring a high standard of education and mentorship.
• Oversee the resident selection process ensuring adherence to National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) guidelines.
• Monitor resident performance provide regular evaluations and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
• Facilitate scholarly activity among faculty and residents including research quality improvement projects and community engagement.
• Develop and oversee program policies and procedures including duty hours patient safety and wellness initiatives.
• Maintain an effective working relationship with the Teaching Health Center administration affiliated training sites and external stakeholders.
• Serve as a mentor and role model for residents promoting professionalism ethical practice and a commitment to lifelong learning.
• Ensure financial and operational efficiency of the residency program including budgeting and resource allocation.

Background Profile: Family Medicine Residency Program Director

• Prior experience in residency education or medical education leadership is required
• Must be interested in working with and serving the medically underserved patient population
• CA License
• Candidate must be Board Certified
• DEA Certificate/License CPR Card
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• J1 Accepted
