Air conditioning engineers are responsible for installing maintaining and repairing heating ventilation airconditioning and refrigeration systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Reviewing blueprints installing air conditioning systems testing systems for proper functioning performing emergency repairs maintaining tools ordering supplies and making routine adjustments to maximize operational efficiency.
Record data when inspecting systems such as temperature of equipment fuel consumption and hours of operation.
Must recover and properly dispose of refrigerants when servicing air conditioning equipment since refrigerants can be harmful to the environment.
Education:
HS/GED required Trade School/Community College.
Experience:
Apprenticeship or onthejob training experience.
Licenses/Certification:
Must be able to obtain Certificate of Fitness A35 S12. S14 G71 G79 P98 or equivalents within 30 days of appointment if required by Facilities Management. Additional Certifications as determined by Facilities Management.
