THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Legal Counsel to join a boutique asset manager in Switzerland. The candidate will report to the Head of Legal and assist in all aspects of daily business. The successful candidate will engage with global and regional stakeholders across various countries. Proficiency in English and German is required for this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the Head of Legal in all legal and regulatory matters within relevant business areas (including collective assets mandate solutions and structured products) in both national and international contexts.
  • Assist in the development and lifecycle management of investment solutions from a legal and regulatory standpoint.
  • Help draft various contracts including fund contracts investment management agreements distribution contracts and private placement memoranda.
  • Prepare and support approval processes for financial products and institutions with supervisory authorities in Switzerland and internationally.
  • Monitor and fulfill regulatory reporting and updating obligations with supervisory authorities and external partners.
  • Stay informed on regulatory developments relevant to Swiss and European legislation (e.g. CISA FinSA FinIA UCITS AIFMD).
  • Aid in auditing and monitoring counterparties as well as onboarding asset managers and distribution partners.
  • Manage contracts in both internal and external systems.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in law.
  • Approximately 26 years of professional experience in the financial services sector.
  • Relevant experience in fund or asset management preferred.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking with proven problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with precision and reliability.
  • High performance orientation willingness to learn and resilience.
  • Flexible communicative and trustworthy with a strong team spirit and comfort interacting with clients regulators service providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in German and English.
