JOB SUMMARY
The Naval Nuclear Laboratory develops advanced naval nuclear propulsion technology for the safety and reliability of our Navys submarine and aircraft fleet. Our company is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team as part of the Propulsion Plant Team Trainer (PPTT) project which is a multisite organization engaged in the design production testing and delivery of advanced training simulators.
DUTIES
The successful candidate will:
Have experience performing electrical drafting
Collaborate with engineers to create or modify designs and drawings for PPTT equipment
Review Supplier electrical designs for adherence to technical requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 3 years of work experience as an Electrical Engineer
Desired Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Proficiency performing electrical engineering drafting
Knowledge of drafting standards and techniques
Experience creating or reviewing electrical engineering designs based on approved technical requirements
Proficiency with engineering software including SolidWorks SolidWorks Electrical and/or AutoCAD
Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers low voltage electrical distribution audiovisual or telecommunications systems
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products
