Position Summary:
F5 Inc. is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team working on F5s exciting and innovative new AI data platform. Your responsibilities will span research design and the construction of highly reliable available and scalable services encompassing API definition implementation deployment operational management and debugging.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Cuttingedge Development: Engage in the development of AI/ML operationalization using emerging technologies.
- Ownership and Delivery: Take ownership of software components ensuring the delivery of complete products that meet functional scale performance and manageability requirements.
- Technology Exploration: Investigate various opensource and closedsource technologies components libraries and tools contributing to the construction of a highly available scalable and manageable system.
- MultiLanguage Coding: Handson coding in multiple languages considering performance scalability maintainability and flexibility.
- Design Patterns and Microservices: Apply understanding and exposure to design patterns and coding practices especially in microservices architectures and API design implementation and management.
- Cloud Expertise: Experience with cloudnative providers such as AWS Azure Google Cloud or any major market Cloud vendors and their services is an advantage.
- Independent Innovation: Independently investigate present options review and implement completely new functionality.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices to the team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other development teams product management UX and QA to define and implement new product offerings while ensuring continued functionality.
- Code Reviews and Guidelines: Perform code reviews set coding practices and guidelines within the team.
- Full Development Cycle: Ability to implement all phases of a development cycle for a software product from understanding requirements to design development and deployment phases.
- Distributed Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with geographically distributed teams in the US.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Programming Languages: Expertise with any combination of programming languages: Golang Java Python Scala C or any highlevel proprietary or opensource language with strong programming constructs. Some experience with frontend development is an advantage.
- APIFirst Applications: Good understanding of API driven product development.
- Database Technologies: Experience with SQL or NoSQL technologies.
- CICD Methodology: Strong understanding of modern CI/CD methodology and Gitbased workflows.
- Container Technologies: Experience in container technologies like Docker and orchestration systems like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal and Leadership Skills: Strong interpersonal teambuilding and mentoring skills.
- Educational Qualifications: BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent with 5 years of software development experience.

The annual base pay for this position is: $151477.00 $227215.00F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge skills experience geographic locations and market conditions as well as to reflect F5s differing products industries and lines of business. The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
