Job Description Summary:

We are hiring for all levels of analog/mixedsignal ASIC design engineers from entry level to principal. Would you enjoy the challenge of designing integrated circuits for extreme environments and unique applications from outer space to inside the human body The Analog/MixedSignal IC Group at Draper develops analog and mixedsignal applicationspecific integrated circuits (ASIC) for national security space biomedical applications and more. We regularly engage with other engineers and scientists from all of Drapers divisions in a dynamic interdisciplinary environment.

Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Design and simulate circuits at transistorlevel to implement architecture and requirement specifications

  • Contribute to systemlevel design

  • Optimize hardware designs for performance power and cost

  • Evaluate the hardware feasibility of complex algorithms and requirements

  • Independently contribute to complex chip architectures and designs

  • Independently drive solutions to complex problems develop requirements propose ways forward when customer requirements are unclear or incomplete and adapt appropriately to changes in requirements

  • Contribute to business development and proposal activities

  • Develop document and teach best practices to less experienced engineers

  • Perform or guide physical layout including floorplanning and simulate circuits using extracted parasitics contribute to designfortest development.

  • Perform other duties as assigned


Skills/Abilities

  • Proficiency in integrated circuit design

  • Understanding of integrated circuits semiconductors and general computer architecture

  • Ability to write detailed design specifications

  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary technical teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent mathematical skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks

  • Demonstrate strong organization planning and time management skills to achieve program goals


Education

Requires a bachelors degree in Engineering or related field. Masters degree preferred.


Experience
Requires 710 years of experience with a bachelors degree or 510 years of experience with a masters degree in ASIC Hardware Engineering or related.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with low power circuit design

  • Experience with CMOS advanced nodes below 32nm

  • Experience with radiationhardened electronics

Additional Job Description:

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS in Electrical Engineering with experience designing integrated circuits
  • Experience designing analog and/or mixedsignal circuits such as:
    • Amplifiers bandgaps and reference circuits
    • DACs and ADCs (Pipelined SAR or SigmaDelta)
    • LDOs and Buck/Boost switchedmode power supplies
    • PLLs or other timing circuits
    • Highspeed I/Os such as DDR or SerDes PHY
  • Proficiency with Cadence Virtuoso
  • Analog circuit modeling with VerilogA VerilogAMS and/or SystemVerilog
  • Experience with MOS advanced nodes below 32nm
  • Experience with radiationhardened electronics
