Job Description
Shipping Clerk
The Shipping Clerk will have the responsibility for packaging and shipping products out of facilitywhile maintaining good relationships with personnel. The mission of this job is to provide highquality service and support to all external and internal customers ensuring the product ships on time meeting all customer quality requirements at the best value to the company.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Good organizational skills
- Math skills minimum high school arithmetic
- Basic computer skills
- Shipping Software experience is preferred (i.e. UPS FedEx etc.
- Close attention to Detail
- Consistent and dependable attendance
- Perform all basic shipping functions including packing addressing all associated internal documentation and crate building.
- Interface with all compnypersonnel to assure internal and customer shipping requirements have been met.
- Prepare parts for processing check for burrs and abnormalities take pictures and check revisions on the process.
- Interface with Quality Assurance personnel regarding customer shipping requirements.
- Interface with purchasing personnel regarding process and subcontract purchase orders.
- Build shipping/wood crates to customer specifications.
- Generate all barcodes and documents to ship the product.
- Communicate shipments to the Contracts Management department.
- Maintain spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
