Standby Rotation Work: The successful incumbent will participate in standby rotation and/or callback incidents as assigned.
Work Location: Saskatchewan and Manitoba This role is eligible for hybrid work. This means youll have the flexibility of working from home and in the office (any one of the Saskatchewan Branches or Winnipeg)on a scheduled rotation once probation requirements have been met. Until then the successful incumbent will be expected to work onsite fulltime.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY
In DevOps the Senior Developer is responsible to ensure that development activities and deliverables are aligned to the standards and coding practices defined under established cloud principles. The incumbent understands and is able to communicate the relationship between business goals applications they are developing and their relationship with the platform as a whole. Working in a dynamic environment the incumbent understands complex applications and is able to handle multiple requests and priorities. You will have a broader and deeper skillset of coding languages and new technologies and provide meaningful feedback on any developer tasks before during and after their . This role is an escalation point for conflicts of issues or priorities that may arise within a sprint. You will also participate in standby rotation and/or callback incidents as assigned.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Development Responsibilities
Escalation point for incidents and coding issues discovered by team members.
Ensures solution aligns to architectural best practices.
Key resource on technology decisions.
Explains tradeoffs when choosing technologies.
Oversees all coding activities related to each feature/sprint.
Creates development work items.
Participates in prioritizing and estimating work items within the teams backlogs.
Maintains technical debt for a solution/application.
Documents release notes and release activities.
Continuously merges code (with respect to branching and continuous integration process).
Deploys and monitors the solution.
Participates in peer review of team members code.
Testing/QA Responsibilities
Peer Review expert for code being checked in.
Creates and maintains automated scripts for functional and nonfunctional testing.
Performs manual exploratory and usability testing.
Executes tests using multiple configurations and automation scripts.
Facilitates automated acceptance testing.
Runs automated performance and load tests.
Facilitates automated security tests.
Supports code in production including support escalations.
Maintains test cases and integration.
Plans for failure tests.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g. Iterative Agile).
Knowledge of and skill to write software such as: software languages (e.g. C Java Python JavaScript); operating systems (e.g. Windows Linux); and cloud and server architectures.
Knowledge of relational big data and unstructured database architectures.
Knowledge of serviceoriented design including Microservices APIs and best practices.
Knowledge of building enterprise class applications.
Knowledge of DevOps practices.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS
Fouryear degree from an accredited postsecondary education institution in a relevant field of study such as Information Technology or defined equivalency.
EXPERIENCE
3 5 years directly related experience in software development.

Due to current market demands a temporary market salary supplement is being offered in addition to base salary in the form of an annual lump sum payment based on 15 of range max with the payment split and paid twice per year based on eligibility guidelines.
