The Role
Are you ready to make an impact in the world of Patient Accounts As the Patient Accounts Education Officer youll play a key role in driving the success of our revenue cycle by developing innovative training materials and delivering impactful training sessions. Youll work alongside the Patient Accounts Education Coordinator to continuously improve and optimise processes ensuring quality and consistency across the board. Essential Skills and Experience
- Understanding financial procedures and accounting principles related to billing and collections.
- The ability to develop and deliver training to ensure that staff are knowledgeable about billing processes policies and procedures.
- Experience Hospital billing software with an understanding of the entire billing process including Eclipse management.
- Complex knowledge of Private Health billing and contractual rules and understanding of medical and hospital billing regulations.
- The ability to adjust learning techniques for a diverse group of staff with different skill levels to ensure staff effectively absorb and apply knowledge.
- Demonstrated commitment to a high standard of customer service attention to detail and accuracy.
- Finding and utilising resources ability to condense them in a clear teachable manner.
- Welldeveloped interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a dynamic fastpaced rapidly changing environment.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and the pursuit of excellence in billing and debtors practices.
- Ability to work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team collaboratively with stakeholders and to tight deadlines.
- Proficient Microsoft Office Suite
Desirable
- Previous Experience in Meditech
- Certificate IV Workplace Training and assessment
- Certificate in Medical Terminology
