You will be based remotely (at home) with the ability to cover the East Midlands region for fieldbased work.
Residence in or near the region identified the ability to drive and a valid driving licence are essential for this role.
Job summary
NAHT is looking for an experienced trade union organiser who is able to help drive our organising and campaigns priorities in England helping to strengthen our collective voice in line with Unions national strategic aims.
Reporting to the Regional Head this role will support the delivery of NAHTs organising and campaigns strategy ensuring the strategic direction of NAHT is successfully implemented in the branches and regions within the East Midlands region.
You will support the digital organising transformation strategy and work with various teams across the association to support the recruitment and retention of members with the aim of developing and building local branches. Furthermore youll be responsible for supporting the delivery of local and national campaigns.
You will also provide administrative IT and communications systems support to our local officials.
Person specification
We are looking for a dynamic individual with demonstrable experience of working within the trade union organising model aimed at revitalising supporting and developing branches.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their ability to work within the structures of a national union. Experience of campaigning and developing successful recruitment strategies together with excellent communication skills oral and written with the ability to present confidently and establish credibility are all essential.
You must be flexible able to travel and stay away overnight as required.
