How your work would contribute to our organization and the Twin Cities region:
The Sewer Availability Charge (SAC) Specialistprovides advanced administrative and technical support as well as customer service for the SAC unit of the Metropolitan Councils Environmental Services Finance office with limited supervision. This position requires high attention to detail with administrative/technical duties to include review building plan submittals for completeness and accuracy electronic filing a significant volume of complex data entry work SAC determination charge and credit estimates and property and SAC information research. The incumbent must possess a high level of customer service and ability to multitask with multiple changing priorities to include answering nonroutine verbal and electronic inquiries from the public and community officials regarding: the SAC program policies and procedures status of SAC determinations in process determination submittal process and helping applicants understand the rationale for the fee assist with community outreach and electronic communications and website updates.
The preferred work scheduleis MondayFriday within the hours of 7:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. The position is eligible for full time benefits including a hybrid onsite/telework arrangement. Onsite work will be required at Met Council facilities.
Any of the following combinations of experience (providing complex administrative support in a mediumtolarge organization) and completed education (degree field of study in Business Administration Communications/Writing Construction or related field):
