We are currently scheduling interviews for a dedicated Psychiatrist Child Youth & Adolescent Staff Specialist to join busy Mental Health team in Mackay.

Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Care:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric assessments diagnoses and treatment for children and adolescents.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Offer expert consultation and guidance on complex cases within the team and to external partners.
- Leadership & Teamwork:
- Lead and mentor junior staff including registrars and allied health professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
- Engage in continuous quality improvement and clinical governance activities.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training.
- Contribute to research and academic activities as appropriate.
- Community Engagement:
- Work with local agencies and stakeholders to promote mental health awareness and services.
- Engage with families and caregivers to support the holistic care of young patients.
Salary & Benefits:
- Total remuneration value of up to $470780 (L24 or up to $514452 (L27 based on experience.
- Base salary between $204206 $258910 depending on classification level.

Requirements:
- Qualifications: Specialist registration with AHPRA
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in child youth and adolescent psychiatry.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Vaccination: Compliance with Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) requirements is mandatory.
