The Sr. Program Manager provides strategic planning and program design with a youthfocused approach to meet the needs of youth experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness. This position encompasses critical budgeting responsibilities grant writing management of complex federal and state funding personnel management and tracking of expenses and revenues.
- Bachelors degree in a related social service field and three years of experience working with youth youth development human services or a related area preferred.
- An additional two years of experience managing youth programming preferred.
- Experience in working with evaluators and tracking outcomes is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with community partners.
- A drivers license and current insurance is required.
- Ability to work very well independently with excellent skills in teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to be flexible and manage time.
- Ability to communicate effectively positively and professionally with participants providers family members and others.
- Ability to work with individuals from very diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to empathize problem solve and accept people unconditionally with an openness to new ideas.
- Ability to interpret and analyze policies and guidelines.
- Ability to understand and apply knowledge of counseling theory and techniques homelessness social support systems advocacy youth stages of development and case management in terms of providing services to individuals or families in crisis.
- Ability to maintain awareness of personal safety during home visits.
