Job Description
The Department of Media Arts Sciences and Studies is creating a pool of qualified candidates for parttime lecturer positions for openings during the 202425 academic year. Possible areas may include but are not limited to courses in: Introductory Photography Introductory Filmmaking Screen Studies Writing for Screen Media and Government and Media.
Terminal degree (Ph.D. or M.F.A. preferred. Applicants with an undergraduate degree in a film or televisionrelated area of media production and substantial industry experience may also be considered. We prioritize candidates who have a record of successful college teaching and who share our commitment to professional preparation within the context of an interdisciplinary and immersive liberal arts education. A wide variety of specialties will be considered including but not limited to postproduction animation experimental cinema cinematography directing sound design audio mixing editing and lighting.

All bargaining unit faculty members shall be covered by the collective bargaining agreement between Ithaca College and Services Employees International Union Local 200 United. Parttime or adjunct bargaining unit employees are all parttime faculty employed by Ithaca College at its Ithaca New York campus including but not limited to faculty in the titles of Lecturer or Adjunct.
