Job Description

Meridian Mechanical Services LLC. is currently looking to fill a position within our team. Meridian currently manages all types of Commercial HVAC/R Plumbing Gas and Pipe service work. We are looking for a team member who is well versed in Sheetmetal mechanics. At Meridian we believe in providing a familyoriented career for our team members and doing the absolute best we can to excel in the industry. This position will report to specific job sites in and around Central East and West Florida as required.

Sheetmetal Job Responsibilities:
Install HVAC mechanical systems and equipment in commercial structures.
Collaborate with general contractors electricians and other construction professionals.
Follow building plans and specifications.
Ability to review and identify required materials to complete specific tasks
Understanding of OSHA requirements and processes
Enforce safety procedures
Train and mentor new employees

The hours are 7:00A.M. to 3:30P.M. Monday through Friday with overtime opportunities available based on individual project demands.

Sheetmetal Qualifications / Skills:
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools used in the Sheetmetal trade
Knowledge of building codes safety regulations and safety practices
Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
Familiarity with general Sheetmetal practices and SMACNA
Effective communication and personable skills
Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted
Excellent problem solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Proficiency in basic mathematics and conversion of measurements
Ability to manage field personnel
Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead crews to complete tasks in line with project schedule

Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
13 years experience in the Sheetmetal trade (preferred)
Valid drivers license and transportation
Must have own tools (personal hand tools)
Must be able to be able to speak English
