Upward Bound at Boston University is a federally funded TRIO program whose purpose isto prepare 86 lowincome and firstgeneration college bound students for success in highereducation. The goal of the program is to prepare students for success in college. Studentsenter the program in either grade 9 or 10 and continue in the program through high schoolgraduation. Program services include an academically rigorous sixweek summerresidential program as well as afternoon classes and tutoring during the school must attend one of five target high schools: Brighton High English HighCommunity Academy of Science and Health Margarita Muniz Academy and SnowdenHigh; or live in one of four target neighborhoods: Dorchester East Boston Mattapan andRoxbury. You can see a brief video about the Upward Bound program at Boston University Upward Bound Program Manager has both management and direct service responsibilities including the development of the programs curriculum; working with the Upward Bound Math Science Program Manager to hire train and supervise program teachers; providing college application financial aid application and academic advising and support services to participants; arranging college visits; conferring with program teachers and teachers at target high schools regarding student achievement; management of participant academic assessments; connecting across departments and units at BU and the community through website content creation and social media; and supporting the project director in the preparation of project reports participant recruitment and liaising with parents of project participants and staff at target schools.

This is a fulltime salaried position and is eligible for the Universitys comprehensive benefits programfor staff. The position is fully onsite and located on the worldrenowned Boston Universitycampus.
