About the Role

Reporting into Accounts Payable Team Leader the primary responsibility of the Accounts Payable Associate is to ensure that invoices received from suppliers are processed as per company policy.

The Accounts Payable Associate will be a subject matter expert for processing supplier invoices will execute the process in line with the Group procedures and according to the internal and external audit requirements.

• Processing invoices
• Inbox management/ supplier queries
• Invoice Exceptions
• Xelix errors/ duplications
• Statement reconciliations
• Supplier management & calls
• Urgent payment initial creation
• Internal stakeholder management
• Manage unallocated cash
• Review GRNI

Responsibilities:

• Own the monthend process for P&L and BS demonstrating a keen eye for detail.
• Ensure strong financial controls are in place and continue to challenge and improve the controls in place.
• Support the wider team with their deliverables and ongoing development.
• Ensure a holistic view of performance to provide insight to support commercial analysis on trading performance.
• A proactive approach to monthend and financial planning.
• Take part in divisional finance and internal stakeholder meetings as and when required
• Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Identify recurring issues and potential room for improvement within current processes
• Strive to achieve best practice performance levels against agreed set of KPIs

Requirements:

• Preferably working towards a professional qualification AAT CIMA ACCA ACA or QBE
• Fluent in English both verbal and written. Another European Language (French Polish German) an advantage but not essential.
• Strong organisational effectiveness skills; attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills ability to perform tasks effectively and be comfortable working in a fastpaced dynamic environment without close guidance or supervision
• Results driven selfsufficient and high motivation
• Must be able to work effectively with all levels of the organization
• Initiative and proactiveness for problem solving
