Our turnkey solution tackles financing vehicle procurement infrastructure upgrade and maintenance to create a reliable and affordable fleet for our customers.

As the Fleet Reliability Engineering Manager you will be Highlands subject matter expert regarding diagnostics and troubleshooting of electric vehicles and EVSE equipment.

This role has a direct impact on uptime and vehicle and charger availability to our customers. You will be tasked to work through complex problems liaison with OEMs and implement strategies to hasten repair resolution.

This includes providing our Customer Support staff with basic instructional documents to generate the information needed at the time of issue creation for work orders assisting our Technician team with diagnostics and repairs on long time down vehicles and working with OEMs on product improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for Highlands EV most technical vehicle and charger troubleshooting and diagnostics responding to technician escalated work orders and customer tickets to assist with repairs and issue resolution.
    • Conducts system testing and analysis to evaluate performance reliability stress strain fatigue noise and vibration of charger and vehicle components for optimization and improvement.
    • Applies expertise in electrical systems 12V480V DC AC threephase) and mechanical systems (powertrain HVAC fuel chassis braking and steering) to improve safety reliability performance and costeffectiveness.
    • Analyzes technical issues determines root causes and develops solutions by integrating data from multiple sources.
    • Develops troubleshooting guides maintenance protocols and issue resolution documents to address recurring problems in electric vehicles and chargers.
    • Collaborates with OEMs external vendors and internal teams to resolve technical challenges implement new designs.
    • Provides leadership on projects that enhance costeffective maintenance strategies quality improvements and overall productivity. Establishes training programs creating internal campaigns work standards and procedures to ensure technicians are wellequipped and safety protocols are followed.
    • Utilizes remote diagnostic tools service portals and OEM software to support technicians with troubleshooting and programming. Ensures all chargers and vehicles within the Highland portfolio are updated with the latest software revisions.
    • Develops and enforces personal protective equipment (PPE) standards manages Highlands lock out tag out processes to comply with OEM specifications and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5 Years of experience infleet maintenance (combination of heavy medium and light duty vehicle maintenance and repair) with understanding of electric vehicle diagnostics and troubleshooting
    • Minimum 2 Years of experience in electric vehicle and EVSE maintenance and repair
    • Strong knowledge of diagnostics software
    • Knowledge of ATA and VMRS codes.
    • Prefer Master ASE Technician Certification in one of the following series; A S H or T.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word PowerPoint and Excel)
    • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
    • Ability to exercise considerable skill judgmentand discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships with internal and external customers as well as many company departments
    • Must have the ability to make sound technical decisions
$130000 $140000 a year
