Job Description:

As an Operation Automation Manager you will participate in the design development implementation and troubleshooting of robotic industrial operations systems.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

• Leadership of major manufacturing projects working with internal and external suppliers to develop automation solutions for our manufacturing processes using latest technologies in the field of Robotics Artificial intelligence (AI) machine learning and 3D vision systems
• Identify and develop automations in welding painting assembly material handling processes to improve safety quality and efficiency
• PLC programming and robot integration
• Identify and implement latest process automation solutions across the facility
• Implementation of AGV/AMR/cobots and various sensor solutions

Top Candidates Will Have:

• Experience with industrial robots programming and algorithms
• Experience in developing a robot solution for manufacturing processes
• Previous project management experience preferred
• Experience working in manufacturing preferred
• Engineering degree preferred

Planning: Tactical Strategic:
Develops refines and communicates tactical plans for own responsibilities.
Provides the right level of detail as input for strategic plan development.
Demonstrates the value and necessity of linking tactical plans to overall strategic plan.
Ensures attention to the detail and dependencies of existing departmentallevel plans.
Plans for allocation of resources in line with unit goals technical and business objectives.
Ensures the planning process is integrated with the overall business plan.

Project Administration:
Reports dependencies conflicts and completion date status to project management team.
Develops costbenefit analysis; tracks and reviews actual costs vs. planned.
Helps others to develop indepth knowledge of project administration software.
Implements planned and adhoc communications to and from affected parties.
Monitors progress and generates project variance analysis reports.
Makes sure project problems are surfaced and reported to appropriate project team members.

Industrial Automation/Automatic Control:
Leads the industrial automation systems/processes architecture and commissioning for ones own organization.
Establishes industrial automation design and implementation strategies standards processes and best practices.
Leads discussions on the future development and directions of industrial automation technologies.
Monitors industry marketplace and benchmarking of Industrial Automation/Automatic Control; designs case studies.
Creates performance metrics and feedback mechanisms to evaluate and optimize industrial automation systems/processes.
Consults on the industrial automation solutions for the entire manufacturing organization.

Robotics/Computer Controlled Machinery:
Advocates for the development of robotics technologies associated with manufacturing.
Leads the selection process for vendors hardware and maintenance programs.
Leverages robotics investment across the organization.
Oversees the impact of robotics on costs efficiency quality and other factors.
Establishes best practices to integrate humans and robots measure and monitor their performance.
Leads the development of longrange automation plans; projects impact on organization.

Additional Information:

• The primary location for this position is Decatur IL
• Domestic relocation assistance is available
• Travel will be up to 5
