Job Description
Surfside Commercial laundry is seeking an experienced Laundry Production Supervisor at our Surfside Laundry location in Panama City Beach FL. Reporting to the General Manager the Production Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in managing the facility and directing production activities and output within the plant.
PRIOR COMMERCIAL LAUNDRY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED (HOME LAUNDRY WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. HOSPITALITY COMMERCIAL CLEANING OR LAUNDRY MAT EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED.
Pay is $15 per hour depending on experience.
Primary responsibilities.
- Supervises work performed in the facility laundry areas including receiving cleaning and distribution of laundry.
- Perform driver duties as necessary
- May be assigned to one specific area but must be accessible to assist whenever needed.
- Supervises schedule adherence assigns and directs work and appraises and motivates for performance.
- Must effectively communicate business expectations to all team members.
- Manages assigned teams by effectively developing mentoring and assessing the performance of staff.
- Supervises employees which includes the initial training of the new hires prior to actual work performed.
- Maintains a safe working environment and continually trains employees in safety awareness.
- Completes maintenance inspections endofshift reports weekly inventories cost perload documentations and other required reports.
- Routinely inspects laundry bags towels and linen for repair and/or disposal.
- Assists in conducting periodic inventories.
- Responsible for documenting/addressing employees unsatisfactory production performance and/or discipline issues as needed to correct unsatisfactory behavior within companys established guidelines.
- Advises management with hiring and termination procedures and performance evaluations as needed.
Provides daily information for: weekly operating reports KPIs payroll Workers Compensation incidents etc.
