The Johnson County Community Developmental Disabilities Organization (CDDO) is the single point of entry for IDD services in Johnson County. As a provision of the Developmental Disabilities Reform Act a CDDO has been designated for every area of the state to help coordinate services and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). We are searching for a Resource Specialist. Initial review of candidates will start April 8 2025.
Responsibilities include:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Three 3 years of experience working in the intellectual/developmental disabilities field or a related field is required.
A bachelors degree in human services social services rehabilitation education or related field is preferred. Knowledge of state regulations and best practices related to the I/DD field familiarity with Federal and State benefits for individuals with disabilities and experience with HCBS service system is preferred. Previous case management experience is also preferred.
Education may substitute for experience and experience may substitute for education.
Candidate must have a valid drivers license andable to successfully complete criminal and motor vehiclebackground screenings which includes KDADS required screenings and registry checks.
