DescriptionWe are currently hiring aPackaging SupervisorinCincinnati OH.
ThePackaging Supervisorwill be responsible for the daytoday management of assigned shifts including safety quality efficiency process and team development. This position will be responsible for inspecification packaging of all highspeed manufacturing production including but not limited to; bottling canning and/or kegging lines ensuring the product is ready on time as needed for distribution and complete supervision of hourly staff. Supervises operation following brewery policies and procedures. This role may also include weekly ownership of process improvement for a specifically assigned zone.
What Youll Brew:
- Proctor preshift meetings daily to express highlevel information and direct the hourly group through safety quality brewing and material concerns developments or obstacles
- Ensure teams are following processes and projects related to continuous improvement activities including but not limited to; Lean Kaizen Centerline line visualization TPM
- Supervise and review the performance of direct reports and develop staff professionally and technically to meet goals
- Lead develop and monitor all critical control points to ensure consistency and quality
- Monitor production plans and accomplish current and future schedules
- Identify productionrelated issues including process loss and equipment OEE and make recommendations to bring the problems to closure
- Report investigate and ensure accurate communication of incidents and workrelated injuries
- Participate in the interview and selection process lead the onboarding of hires and participate in operator succession planning Lead preparation and delivery of employee evaluation process and ensure alignment within the spirit of the performance management program including new hire evaluations
- Accurate and timely reporting of hours worked for payroll purposes
- May be required to perform the tasks of a Packaging Operator as needed
- There is frequent exposure production environments:
- Subject to loud and constant noise
- Nonenvironmentally conditioned spaces which may lead to extreme hot and cold
- The operating environment is complex and densely populated with production equipment and forklifts that necessitate high situational awareness
What Ingredients Youll Bring:
Minimum Qualifications:
- A fouryear degree in either engineering or business
- A comprehensive understanding of business principles is necessary. The ability to quickly grasp the operational context of the plant floor encompassing both technical aspects and business operations.
- 2 years of proven leadership and supervisory skills/experience
- 2 years experience in a manufacturing/CPG environment or engineering (mechanical or electrical)
- Indepth understanding and track record of delivering operational processes that drive safety quality and cost improvements
- Knowledge of HACCP GMPs Process Improvement and Process Control
- Competent in using Microsoft Office including MS Word MS Excel MS PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in the beverage industry.
- 2 years in a process engineer role
Working conditions/Physical Requirements
- All production roles are required to pass a preemployment physical exam to comply with their specific role requirement(s)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs sometimes repeatedly
- Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete metal and grated surfaces
- Responsibilities may require crouching stepping over crawling under bending twisting climbing and reaching above head and shoulders repeatedly throughout the day
- Responsibilities may require climbing flights of stairs working from heights or on elevated platforms
- Ability to wear assigned PPE (safety shoes gloves facemask hearing protection and hard hat)
- Established dexterity so you can handle materials operate equipment and interface with computer systems with precision
- Some roles (e.g. forklift operator) may be required to sit for a prolonged period of time and have strong peripheral vision and depth perception
In accordance with pay transparency laws the salary range for this role if hired is $77250 $109200 annually based on location and the candidates experience level. In addition to base salary this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Certain sales positions are also eligible for car allowance.
