JOB Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION Oxfordshire
TERM Permanent
SALARY 33000 to 43000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is working with a wellestablished engineering company based in Oxfordshire that is looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering (BEng MEng HND HNC etc..
Experience in mechanical design within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (such as SolidWorks Inventor or AutoCAD).
Knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining fabrication and sheet metal design.
Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
Creating 3D models and technical drawings for mechanical components and assemblies.
Developing innovative design solutions for engineering projects.
Working closely with production and manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible.
Conducting design reviews and making modifications as required.
Producing detailed documentation including BOMs and technical specifications.
Ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and regulations.
Supporting the continuous improvement of design processes.
