CRISIS INTERVENTION SPECIALIST (Fulltime/Night Shift)
Location: Salem OR 97304
Hours: Graveyard 12am 8am
Compensation: DOE $2425/hr.
Night Shift Differential: $2.50
Signon Bonus: $1000 (Internal candidates that are currently employed here at NWHS are not eligible for a signon bonus.
Referral Bonus: $500 (Referral bonus expire at the close of this job posting)
YOUR ROLE:
Crisis Intervention Specialists provide 24hour crisis intervention suicide prevention risk assessment and brief supportive counseling over the phone to clients who are experiencing emotional distress suicidal ideation and/or seeking information on available mental health services. The Crisis and Information Hotline answers all calls made to 988 in Marion and Polk counties and acts as afterhours crisis support for multiple community partners. Crisis Intervention Specialists provide crisis intervention risk assessment screening safety planning followup support and advocacy based on clients assessed needs. Candidates must be eligible to obtain/maintain a QMHAR level certification. Certifications MHACBO
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in social work or behavioral health sciences field or combination of at least three years relevant work education training or experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of an integrated team.
- Demonstrated ability to use appropriate problemsolving and decisionmaking skills while working with individuals who may be very escalated or experiencing acute crisis.
- Understanding of TraumaInformed Care models.
- Demonstrated ability to practice selfreflection
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Work some holidays and weekends.
- Remote work may be required but this is not a fully remote position.
- Initial training takes place during the day.
